I joined the company in 2001 and since then I have worked in a variety of roles across the business. In my role as Service Administration Supervisor, I lead and manage the administration team at the Duxford Customer Support Centre.
My job role is very varied and a typical day includes dealing with invoice queries, supporting the team and ensuring that we meet our work in progress targets. Good communication is a key part of the role as I am regularly talking to customers and colleagues within the business.
As a line manager, I have had the opportunity to attend management development training such as employment law and interview skills. Whilst working for the company I have also trained others across the Customer Support Centre network in new systems that have been implemented. The most enjoyable part of my job is having regular contact with customers and colleagues.
I have been given a large amount of support from my immediate colleagues and the company as a whole. This is one of the key benefits of working for SMT GB, as well as the opportunity to be able to carry out new training when it is required.
